Fulton Police Participate With Project Lifesaver 

The Fulton Police Department has recently become a participating agency with Project Lifesaver.  Project Lifesaver's mission is to help "provide rapid response to save lives and reduce potential for serious injury for adults and children who wer due to andAlzheimer’s, autism, Down syndrome, dementia and other related cognitive conditions."  Project Lifesaver provides equipment, training, certification and support to law enforcement, public safety organizations and community groups throughout the country and nation. Project Lifesaver has over 1,200 participating agencies across the U.S., Canada, and Australia, and has performed 2,512 searches in the last 11 years with no serious injuries or fatalities ever reported.

MISSION STATEMENT

To pursue excellence by working in concert through effective partnerships with our community; to improve the quality of life to all of our citizens and visitors.


 

The City of Fulton is served by a full time police force of 34 sworn officers.  The department is supported by two clerical staff and an Animal Control Officer.  The Department consists of the Chief of Police, Deputy Chief, Patrol Commander (Lieutenant), Traffic and Training Sergeant who oversees two civilian employees of the City’s Traffic Department, the Patrol Division which consists of 27 officers and the Criminal Investigative Division which consists of four officers.

The Police Department has had a web site since 2001 and was proud to release a newly redesigned site in April of 2010.  It is updated regularly and the public is asked to visit frequently to learn about the Department and the services it provides and to provide information when the Departments asks for help.
